Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is part of an integrated alcohol and other drug and mental health treatment program that combines various evidence-based counseling practices and medication to treat those working toward positive change and abstinence. It includes counseling, therapy, skill-building education, and medication for effective long-term success.

Treating Substance Use Dependence
When combined with counseling and group therapy, MAT can aid in the recovery process be reducing cravings and erducing the risk of relapse. Renz Center uses a variety of medications, including:
- Camprosate (Campral)
- Disulfiram (Antabuse)
- Naltrexone (ReVia)
- Buprenorphine and Naloxone (Suboxone)
- Injectable form of Naltrexone (Vivitrol)

Renz Center has offices conveniently located in Elgin, St. Charles and Streamwood, and is open Monday – Thursday from 9 am – 9 pm., and Fridays 9 am – 12 pm.
We serve individuals in western Cook and north/central Kane County, including but not limited to: Elgin, South Elgin, Carpentersville, St. Charles, Geneva, Burlington, Hampshire, Streamwood, Hanover Park, Bartlett, Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg, Barrington, Lake in the Hills and Algonquin.
